The use of unique Urban Canopy Parameters (UCPs) such as the packing density and building height of the Metropolitan London Area and provide the components of how they can be linked and scale with an independent parameter such as the population density and the CO2. The UCPs are based on WUDAPT (World Urban Database and Access Portal Tools) a database that consists of information on aspects of urban form and functions (UCPs) relevant to climate research that are organized into three levels of detail, which encapsulate the different levels of features of cities. The classes created are called Local Climate Zones (LCZs) that characterize each cell with a different class based on the area’s UCPs and part of the Urban Micro-Climate.
