Project Overview

AgriProAct is an AI-driven agro-meteorological decision-support platform designed to transform Cyprus’s fragmented agricultural, meteorological, and environmental datasets into a parcel-level operational intelligence system. The project integrates national weather infrastructure (~52 automatic weather stations, NWP products), Copernicus Sentinel-1/2 Earth Observation, in-situ soil sensors, and livestock telemetry into AI-powered parcel digital twins. Through a Predict–Verify–Learn framework, AgriProAct continuously forecasts soil moisture, temperature, nutrient and salinity risks, irrigation needs, grazing pressure,

and weather hazards such as frost, drought, and heavy rainfall. These outputs are delivered to farmers via mobile/web platforms and SMS advisories, while government authorities receive aggregated fiscal, environmental, and CAP-aligned policy intelligence through a dedicated dashboard. The project addresses Cyprus’s urgent needs for climate adaptation, agricultural resilience, water conservation, subsidy optimisation, and greenhouse gas mitigation. By shifting agriculture from reactive compensation-based responses to proactive predictive management, AgriProAct strengthens national resilience, enhances resource efficiency, and supports compliance with EU Green Deal, CAP, and INECP objectives.
