On the University of Cyprus campus, the AURA Station is a fully equipped meteorological and air quality monitoring station operating since 2008. The station continuously measures regulated gaseous pollutants (e.g., CO, NOx, VOCs), particulate matter (PM₁₀ and PM₂.₅), and key meteorological parameters including temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, solar radiation, and precipitation.
AURA provides high-resolution observational data that supports research on atmospheric processes, urban air pollution dynamics, model validation, environmental assessment, and evidence-based policy development.
